Acceleration of nearly all aspects of daily life has long been a facet of the modern age. Still, the speed of emerging technologies, and the rapidity with which they are being adopted, is unprecedented. Kathryn Bouskill, an anthropologist, will describe futuristic scenario exercises to understand, and to prepare for, the impacts of an increasingly networked and faster future. This session will raise critical questions about both the risks and rewards of rapid technological transformations that will have significant implications for the security workforce and long-term strategic planning.
